RODI and FRODI credits
RODI pays for the RodiumAi API. FRODI is the allowance included in your Forge & Code plan. Here is how each one works and how to read your usage.
Two credits, two jobs
| RODI | FRODI | |
|---|---|---|
| Use it for | Calls to the RodiumAi API from your own apps, scripts and tools | Forge and RodiumAi Code (CLI, desktop app, editor extension) |
| How you get it | Top up with Mobile Money | Included in your Forge & Code plan |
| Renewal | Pay as you go, you top up when you need | Every week on paid plans, every month on Free |
| Where you see it | Dashboard, Billing | Dashboard, Forge & Code |
Both credits sit in the same sidebar of your dashboard, so you always know which one a tool is spending. RODI and FRODI are product names and are not translated.
Plans
Forge & Code has a Free plan, several paid plans (Starter, Builder, Pro and Scale) and a Team plan billed per seat. Free gives 500 FRODI each month. Paid plans renew every week with a larger allowance.
| What a plan can change | Details |
|---|---|
| FRODI allowance | How much you can spend each week (each month on Free). |
| Projects | How many Forge projects you can keep, limited or unlimited. |
| AI model | Automatic model, or the possibility to choose the model. |
| Custom domain | Publish a Forge site on your own domain. |
| Code export | Download the code of a Forge project. |
| Project history | Go back to earlier versions of a project. |
| Priority generation | Faster queue when generating. |
| Seats | Team plan only: you choose the number of seats on the payment page. |
The pricing table in your dashboard always shows the current prices in your currency and what each plan includes. Prices follow your country, and Togo (XOF) is used when yours is not in the list.
Reading your usage
The percentage shown on the overview is the share of the current allowance already spent: used % = (granted - left) / granted, rounded and kept between 0 and 100. Forge shows the same figure.
Example: a plan grants 2,000 FRODI per week and 500 are left. You spent 1,500, so the overview shows 75% used, then the day of the next reset.
- At 80% a hint tells you that you are getting close to your limit.
- At 95% the hint becomes more insistent and suggests an upgrade.
- At 100% your allowance is used. It comes back at the next reset, or you can upgrade right away.
Plan status
The overview shows the status of your plan next to its name:
- Active: your plan works as expected.
- Payment overdue and Grace period: a renewal payment did not go through. Pay from the overview to keep your plan.
- Expired and Suspended: the plan is no longer active. Pick a plan again from the overview.
When your FRODI run out
- Wait for the next reset: the date or the number of days left is shown on the overview.
- Or use Change plan to move to a plan with a larger allowance.
- Your RODI wallet is for the API. Forge & Code only draws on it if you allow it.
Bring your own key
Instead of signing in with your account you can connect a RodiumAi API key (rd_sk_...) in the CLI, the desktop app or the editor extension. Usage is then billed in RODI from that key's wallet at the usual API rates, and does not use your FRODI. See pricing and billing.
